Short answer

What TIGTechs Does, Who We Serve, and Where

What is TIGTechs and what does it do?

TIGTechs is a B2B precision TIG welding and stainless steel fabrication company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. We weld parts, sanitary tube, aerospace assemblies and pressure piping for aerospace and defense, food and beverage, medical device, oil and gas, and semiconductor makers.

01

What we do

Precision TIG (GTAW) welding and stainless steel fabrication. That covers thin-wall parts, sanitary tube, aerospace assemblies, custom frames and enclosures, and code pipe and pressure work.

02

Who we serve

Design engineers, QC and QA managers, and procurement teams at manufacturers in regulated industries. Our buyers need records as much as they need welds.

03

Where we work

Our headquarters and shop are in Dallas, Texas. We also serve Fort Worth, Houston, Chicago and Los Angeles. See all service locations.

The process

Why TIG Welding for Precision Parts

TIG welding uses a tungsten electrode and a separate filler rod. The welder controls heat and filler apart from each other. That control is why engineers call for TIG on thin, clean and critical joints.

Low, steady heat input

Less heat means less warpage on thin stainless. It also keeps the metal out of the 800 to 1600 °F sensitization range for less time.

Clean welds with no spatter

TIG makes no slag and no spatter. The bead is smooth, which matters for sanitary lines and parts that get polished.

Full back-side purge

Argon on the inside of tube and pipe keeps the root from oxidizing. A good purge prevents the gray, crusty root called sugaring.

Matched filler alloys

We match filler to base metal, such as ER308L for 304L, ER316L for 316L and ER309L for stainless to carbon steel.

How it works

How a Job Moves Through Our Shop

Every order follows the same path, so your QC team knows what records to expect.

01

Drawing and spec review

We read the drawing, weld callouts and standards before we quote. Questions come back to you in writing.

02

Procedure and welder match

We pick a qualified welding procedure (WPS) and a welder qualified to run it.

03

Weld, inspect, record

Welds get visual inspection plus any NDT your spec calls for.

04

Ship with paperwork

Parts ship with the documents on your PO, such as material certs and inspection reports.

What to Send for an Accurate Welding Quote

The more of this list you send, the fewer questions we need to ask. Missing an item? Leave it blank and we will help you sort it out.

01

Drawings

2D prints with weld symbols and tolerances, plus 3D models if you have them.

02

Material

Base metal grade and form, such as 316L tube or 304 sheet, and who supplies it.

03

Quantity

Pieces per order, release schedule and estimated annual volume.

04

Standard

The governing code: AWS D17.1, AWS D1.6, ASME Section IX or 3-A.

05

Inspection

Visual, penetrant, X-ray, ultrasonic or leak testing, and the sampling rate.

06

Delivery date

When you need parts and where they ship.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of parts does TIGTechs weld?

We weld stainless steel parts, thin-wall tube, sanitary process lines, aerospace assemblies and code pipe. Send a drawing if you are not sure your part fits.

Do you do production runs or only prototypes?

We quote both. Tell us your annual volume and release size so we can plan fixtures and labor.

Which welding codes can you work to?

We weld to the code your drawing calls out. Our current qualifications, such as AWS and ASME procedures, are listed on our certifications and compliance page. Ask for copies of the WPS and welder records with your quote.

Where is TIGTechs located?
